Named the Center for Food, Youth, and Community, the 19,611 square-foot food preparation, distribution, and education hub represents a significant expansion for the organization.

The Center for Food, Youth, and Community marks the completion of a state-of-the-art food production and kitchen facility designed to serve both daily operations and critical community needs. The project delivers a highly efficient, large-scale production environment anchored by the largest all-electric commercial kitchen in Northern California, supporting the capacity to prepare up to 800,000 meals annually while maintaining a clean, forward-thinking design approach.

Engineered as a community resilience hub for Southwest Santa Rosa, the facility integrates a solar-powered microgrid to ensure continuous operation during emergencies, including power outages. Structural systems were carefully coordinated to support expansive kitchen infrastructure, high-performance equipment, and long-term durability, resulting in a facility that seamlessly blends mission-driven functionality with resilient, future-focused design.
